Tips for saving energy

Tips for saving energy
Energy prices are rising and many households are thinking about how they can relieve the tight family budget. We would be happy to give you some tips on how you can save money and become even more efficient in your consumption.
Steps to save energy
There is a lot you can do to save energy. Even small tricks help to save a total of up to one hundred euros per month.
These include, for example:
- Do not leave windows open when heating. Ventilate intensively but briefly. Otherwise, you are wasting heat and therefore energy unnecessarily.
- Disconnect unused devices from the network, do not leave them in standby mode unnecessarily.
- Cook sparingly: use a pressure cooker, cook with a lid, bake several dishes in the oven at the same time, etc.
- Avoid unnecessary lighting and use energy-saving lamps.
- Use energy-saving devices — when buying new devices, pay attention to their efficiency and use their energy-saving eco programs. Gradually replace old and power-guzzling appliances.
- Check whether you have a suitable tariff and favorable conditions from energy suppliers.
- Don't overheat rooms unnecessarily. That is not only expensive, but also unhealthy.
If you follow these steps, you will already save a lot of electricity and heating energy.
However, anyone who wants to save even more extensive energy cannot do without more consistent measures.
Prevent energy losses
What is the point of saving money on cooking and heating if, for example, a lot of heat escapes from you through leaking windows or a leaky roof? That is why it is definitely worthwhile to invest in at least partially rebuilding a house or apartment. New windows or insulation can also do wonders, and at the same time, you not only increase your living comfort, but also the value of the entire property.
If you are interested in how much heat escapes where the most, have the energy loss of the house calculated. An energy consultant or HVAC master will find out based on the focal areas in your company. For a detailed insight, use the free autarc configurator or book a consultation here.
Energy-saving heater
Home heating accounts for a large part of energy costs. It is therefore often worthwhile to replace an old boiler with an energy-saving heater. A good choice is a heat pump, which can have an efficiency of up to 350%. With a minimum amount of electricity supplied, it can supply the household with energy many times over. This is possible because the heat pump itself does not generate heat, but only extracts it from the outside environment and transfers it to the heating system.
If you have previously heated with gas, you can save up to 50% of your annual heating costs by switching to a heat pump. If you've used an electric boiler, you can even save up to 2/3 of the original cost. As a result, the purchase costs for a heat pump may have been amortized in just 2.5 years given the current high electricity prices
